2020 Update On Violent Noise Atrocities

 Violent Noise Atrocities as a label is done.  The name will continue to exist as the catalog number for any Churner releases that are not done by another label.

Churner is alive and mostly well as of this post.  All current and some older reissues are available here....

I (the artist known as Churner) cannot do a lot of the things i used to like to do, like this label.  Not a lot of extra time and not all the disposable income that i used to have.

I am hoping that sometime soon, i will have the ability to do physical releases again.  But there is no promise of that.

Violent Noise Atrocities is now releasing Churner titles for download on Bandcamp.

There are no plans at this time for physical releases.  Titles in inventory will be available again on Discogs starting in February 2015.

Violent Noise Atrocities will be closed again for possibly the next six months. I have relocated to another state and do not have a permanent residence at this time....so doing anything with the label is impossible.

As of today...December 18th, 2011, Violent Noise Atrocities is closed until further notice. I will still be operating the mail order section as well as the Churner Discogs page, but no new releases for the near future.

For the past four years i have been doing this label as well as working 75-80 hours a week at my job, and it has finally caught up with me this year. Anyone who knows me knows i have been sick off and on the entire year and it finally hit a point where i was in the Emergency Room tuesday from lack of oxygen brought on by yet another case of bronchitis. Which the doctors have been telling me is probably re-occurring because stress is killing my immune system. For someone who has not been sick since the age of 15 with anything other than high blood pressure (age 33), this has been a major struggle. 

But fear not, this is not the end...i am just taking a break and getting things back to normal...which is still pretty intense by most peoples standards.

Debut release from a new project featuring Wall Noise God Richard Ramirez and Mark Ward (Where Is This).  This will be a 3" cdr limited to 50 copies. Total fucking Harsh Noise Wall brutality of the most painful kind.

Yes...its as brutal and nasty as the title sounds. 15 minutes of total destruction by each artist. Your soundtrack to a really bad half hour on the toilet.

Limited to 10 copies. This consists of the most minimal and unchanging material that Churner has done yet. All sound sources coming from a broken ART Tube Pre-amp. The pre-amp pretty much created a majority of all the changes that you will hear....lots of broken static and at some points....the wall almost "stops" because it has become so broken up.

As the year comes to an end, i would like to say this has been the best year yet for Violent Noise Atrocities. 2011 is going to be a lot different, with more focus on tape releases with some surprises in store as well...one being the first vinyl release....which at present time will be a Churner split  7" lathe (limited to 50 copies - artist to be determined)

The fall of 2011 will also bring a massive and epic Churner 10 tape box set....present plans are the following for it....

 2 C-60 tapes

This will be limited to 24 copies and will probably also be followed by 10 disc cdr box set.

The Audio Cassette Rapist - Tape Rape: Volume One - This is perhaps a "one off" project of Churner. Take a "How To Speak Spanish" cassette....run it through various processors (molesting)...run it through even more processors...and you have Tape Rape: Volume One. This release pays tribute to the RRRecords "Recycled" Series in a lot of ways. All copies will be dubbed onto used cassettes with used boxes. Limited to 25 copies featuring exotic "silver" tape artwork.

Churner / NRYY - Japamericanese Noise Destruction Seminar (cdr) - 72 minutes of extreme violent noise from Churner and NRYY. Speaker damage will more than likely occur....but play it loud anyway to get the full effect. Limited to 30 copies
